How to spend 72 Hours in LA
Sean and I made last minute plans to take an early am flight out to LA last weekend and I wanted to share how we made the most out of our 72 hours in Los Angeles!
Rent a hip AirBNB! Use this link to take $40 off your next booking, just for signing up! See more photos of the one we rented here.
Rent bikes or pick up a BIRD scooter and take a long ride down The Strand, which is a 22 mile paved bicycle path that runs mostly along the Pacific Ocean from Santa Monica to Redondo Beach. Pack a backpack with a beach towel to stop for some sunshine on the sand along the way.
Take a hike. We enjoyed the Los Liones head trail which was the closest hike from our airbnb with the best views of the Pacific ocean.
Check out a Los Angeles Dodger Game, and have a Dodger Dog. Pro Tip: Wear layers and pack your sunscreen. It starts off a little cool at the games but the stadium faces the west and the sun beats down on the whole stadium the entire game.
Favorite casual restaurants:
Lemonade (there is one every couple of miles, the best!)
Flake in Venice Beach (ride your bikes there if you are staying at the beach)
Rose Cafe (perfect spot for a chill light lunch and glass of Rose or plan ahead and join them for dinner). This was my favorite spot hands down.
Brunch at Butchers Daughter in Venice beach. (get there early, always a pretty decent line to get in)
Erewhon Market in Venice is a local market pick up some fresh ingredients to make guacamole and grill steaks at the Airbnb.
Salt & Straw for homemade ice cream.
We were able to borrow a 2018 Mazda3 Grand Touring to zoom zoom around in all weekend. We took a drive down the famous Rodeo Drive and did some designer shopping. Took a tour through Beverly Hills to see the iconic Beverly Hills hotel and the amazing homes. Ended with a stop for brunch on the Sunset Strip at Eveleigh.
Our weekend was packed full but we enjoyed every second of the sunshine and perfect weather that Southern California offers.
