Everyone loves a weekend getaway, but how do you decide on going to one hotel or area. If you have ever stayed at a Ritz-Carlton, then this is the answer. The amount of effort the Ritz Carlton puts into customer care is beyond any place we have experienced. The staff truly cares about the standards put into place by this resort. We were treated as if we were the only couple on the property, when in fact they had hundreds of us to attend to.
The amenities and activities alone could keep you on property for weeks at The Ritz Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee, creating the feeling of a packed schedule yet the relaxation of a true vacation. Some of the high points of our stay included free s’mores at the bonfire with other families and couples, fishing off the banks of the lake, basketball, ping pong, shuffleboard and horse shoes. We were also able to enjoy the manmade beach nestled on the lake shore, where you could enjoy stand up paddle boarding and water bikes. At night we were able to rent a pontoon boat, taking us to a beautiful spot in order to watch the sunset over the foothills of the Lake Oconee.
The Fitness center was full of everything you could imagine to keep your routine going away from home, including special times for Fitness classes. If the Fitness center is not your thing, then lake side yoga or running and biking on the trails are always a go to activity.
The Ritz Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee also offers a state of the art spa and golf course, letting couples separate or enjoy both together. The 18 hole on the Oconee Course makes you feel as if you were about to tee off at a PGA Championship, creating the feeling of truly playing one of the most challenging and breathtaking courses in the United States. The two level spa has every treatment you could want, including a state of the art male/female lounge room. There is also an indoor pool included with your stay at the resort.
Each Resort we are blessed to stay at has it’s unique touch and atmosphere, yet the The Ritz Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee seems to give you everything you want and need in a vacation and home away from home.
